About the Architecture

About the Architecture
Tegami-dokoro is a tranquil space designed for you to introspect and connect with both your self and your loved ones through letters, allowing one to connect deeper with their feelings. Its serene and peaceful atmosphere, along with the sense of flowing time as letters and throughts are delivered across eras draws inspiration from the Azekura-zukuri style of Shosoin and the Farmsworth House in the U.S.
The “Tegami-hyo” (Letter Waymarkers), which guide you to the entrance of the grounds at Tegami-dokoro are signposts inscribed with actualletters written by authors and artists to their families and acquaintances. As you make your way to Tegami-dokoro, these markers help prepare you heart for writing.
