Event Report: "New Year's Cards to the Deceased" Event Held at Tegami-dokoro on December 5 (Sunday)

On Sunday, December 5th, from 2:00 PM, an event was held at Funabashi Tegami-dokoro to write "New Year's Cards to the Deceased."

On the day of the event, participants were able to create a quiet space to reflect on their cherished "special someone" and confront their own feelings while gazing into the warmth of the Tegami-dokoro fireplace.

This self-reflection might have led to a renewed encounter with their own existence, realizing they were indeed cared for by "that special someone."

We received feedback from participants, with comments like, "My mind feels calm."

We hope Tegami-dokoro continues to be a small, extraordinary place, slightly set apart from daily life, where people can rediscover themselves.

Additionally, during winter, Tegami-dokoro offers a unique experience: the chance to light the fireplace with your own firewood. Watching the flames you've kindled yourself, time seems to slow down and become more deeply meaningful.
